New Heights began because God had a plan to take and use the combination of the Berean Fellowship and the hearts of a few willing servant hearted people to reach into the city of Ft. Collins, Colorado. God had been outlining the details for this to transpire since 2001 when men from the Berean Fellowship had started praying for a church in Ft. Collins (a fast growing place with a huge spiritual need).

God began to work on many hearts during this same time and began preparing the way for a team to transpire who would come from Kansas, Chicago, Idaho, Southern Colorado, and from within the city itself. One by one the doors where opened up and the call was confirmed by so many tiny details and circumstances for each one of these team members.

When the team arrived, the praying began… and one by one, God started to bring together a launch team! As the momentum of God’s grace and love began to move forward people responded. The core group continued to grow little by little.

The launch team began meeting on a weekly basis, planning and strategizing as to how we would begin to reach into this community. There were and continues to be the art practiced of trial and error!
We were meeting in a park on Sunday afternoons, sharing in BBQ’s and a short devotional time along with some music.

The news was broadcast in the Coffee News, North Forty News, Ft Collins Forum, and the Rocky Mountain News. We would share in our first full blown Sunday evening worship & celebration of life service on Nov. 14th, 2004 in the meeting place of Discovery Fellowship’s church building.

We continued to meet in Discovery’s building until God connected New Heights with a man by the name of Joe Ricciardi who offered a chunk of space in a warehouse (that he shared with 2 of his personal businesses) for a place to worship. We scraped, bleed, painted, ripped apart, and built weeks in advance anticipating our first ever worship and celebration of life service in this new location… EASTER!!

Then we discovered in May of 2008 that we would no longer be able to meet in that location and the visions and hearts of the family and leadership of New Heights continued to take on a whole new adventure… meeting weekly in homes as a network of home churches and then find a place monthly for one giant LIFE CELEBRATION WORSHIP SERVICE on the first Sunday of each month!

Praise God for the work He alone continues to do in each heart that he has connected with New Heights Christian Fellowship as the History continues to be written each and every day!
